Research Interests: |
My primary interests are implicit
learning and the transition from unconscious to conscious knowledge.
I have a particular interest in the role of familiarity in implicit learning and
the process by which initially unconscious behavioural
biases become accompanied by conscious feelings of knowing. In addition to theoretical research on consciousness I also conduct work attempting to apply the resulting insights to practical challenges in diagnosing disorders of consciousness. These projects include the development of a method for detecting conscious awareness that is neither reliant on physical movement or language comprehension. My primary research
collaborators are Zoltan
Dienes, Elisabeth Norman, and Anil Seth. . |
