We are looking for well-researched articles that provide
analysis and explanation, rather than simply 'opinion'. Please use plain English, and avoid jargon and idiomatic expressions,
as the site is aimed at an international audience and many readers may not have
English as their first language. For a discussion that is still valid, see
George Orwell's essay 'Politics and the
English Language'. Try to express your ideas in a clear and well-organised
way, and please proofread your material before you send it to us. If we think
a piece is worth publishing we will work with you to iron out any problems in
it, but we need you to get it into the best shape that you can before sending
