The aim of the text generation component is three-fold:

  • to generate various types of report from Elecronic Patient Records in textual and graphical format
  • to provide an easy to use natural language interface for querying the database of Electronic Patient Records (using the WYSIWYM technology)
  • to generate answers to queries in natural language
This short presentation describes the main usage of natural language generation in the CLEF project and the way the NLG component integrates into the CLEF framework.

A demonstration of CLEF functionalities was presented at the E-Sicence All-Hands Meeting in September 2004, Nottingham, UK. You can download the demo in avi format from here.
