This task is about counting your breathing.
In this task, you need to repeatedly count your breaths from 1 to 9. An in and out breath together count as one single breath.

So we can keep track of your breathing, the task here is to press the UP arrow for breaths 1-8 in a sequence.
On the 9th breath, press the DOWN arrow.

Then, indicate your confidence that you kept count of your breath correctly:
After the 9th breath, press the RIGHT arrow if you are certain you counted correctly
or, press the LEFT arrow if you are not sure you pressed the correct arrow, or lost count.

If you are sure you have lost count of your breathing, please press the space bar to start counting from 1 again
There is a two minute practice session with feedback on your responses, and the main experimental task will last 20 minutes.
