<> Aesthetics in non-visual genres
Is there any way to relate aesthetic preferences in the visual
domain to other types?
Is there any connection between preference for colour harmony and
preference for tonal harmony?
- between preference for images which are easily interpreted and
stories which are easily understood?
- between preference for rhythms featuring interlocking
intervals and tone-combinations featuring interlocking frequency
relationships?
- between enjoyment of the complex plot-structures in a play and
enjoyment of complex pattern structures (e.g., in a Kandinsky
abstract)?
If such connections do exist, is there any way of relating these
back to cognitive considerations?
